1. About Us

PolicyAndPlay is a UK-based digital subscription service providing templates, policy guides, and activity plans for childcare professionals. By using our service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, which are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. The Service

PolicyAndPlay provides:

Downloadable website templates for childcare settings
Policy guide templates aligned to Ofsted and EYFS requirements
Activity plan templates for early years practitioners
Video guides, webinars, and additional resources (plan dependent)
Knowledge base access

We reserve the right to update, add, or remove content from the service at any time.

3. Important Disclaimer — Templates Are Not Legal Advice

Please read this carefully. All documents, policies, and templates provided by PolicyAndPlay are intended as starting-point templates only. They do not constitute legal, regulatory, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, customising, and ensuring that any document you use is appropriate for your specific setting and compliant with current regulations. PolicyAndPlay accepts no liability for any outcome resulting from the use of our templates, including but not limited to Ofsted inspections, legal proceedings, or regulatory action.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Prices are displayed in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Free Trial

Where a free trial is offered, no payment is taken during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period, except as required by law.

Please see our Refund Policy for full details. Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital subscription from the date of purchase.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on PolicyAndPlay — including templates, designs, text, video, and branding — is owned by or licensed to PolicyAndPlay and protected by copyright. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own childcare setting only. You may not:

Resell, redistribute, or share our templates with third parties
Use our content to create a competing product or service
Remove any branding or attribution from templates (unless personalising for your own setting)

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PolicyAndPlay to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Distribute or resell our content commercially
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
Use our content for any purpose other than running your own childcare setting

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PolicyAndPlay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service or templates. Our total liability in any circumstances shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
